Terry to miss Arsenal clash due to ankle injury
Conte praised the Spain global for his work behind the scenes in improving his defensive contribution after the match, while Fabregas hopes a demonstration of his more widely celebrated attacking talents has made a compelling case ahead of Saturday’s game against his former club Arsenal.

The Spaniard made the assertion after scoring an extra-time brace to help the Blues knock English Premier League (EPL) Champions, Leicester City out of the League Cup on Tuesday night.
Fabregas is yet to start in the Premier League under Conte, with his only other start in the EFL Cup win over Bristol City last month, with Nemanja Matic, N’Golo Kante and Oscar preferred.
Fabregas joined Arsenal at the age of 16 and spent eight years there before returning to boyhood club Barcelona.
Chelsea have recently enjoyed a one-sided record against the Gunners, who have not beaten them in nine league meetings-the last six of which Arsenal have failed to score in.
“I’m focusing on playing well and when I have the chance I’ll show what I can do, because I know what I can do and it’s a lot for this team”, Fabregas told British media. It’s a very special place for me and that’s it.
“I’m exhausted of the news that says I’m offering myself to other clubs”.

“[Chelsea] can improve a lot”.
A renewed Chelsea then emerged after the break, with Cesar Azpilicueta levelling the game with just five second-half minutes played.
“I think we played quite well, to be honest”, Fabregas said. We like him very much, he’s a great coach, very hard and he says the things very clear.
“Of course now we have to work more and more to give them 90 minutes because when I need them they must be fit 100 per cent”. You can have worse days, you can have moments when maybe you’re not at your best, but I always give my best.

“When we concede a goal, all the team concede a goal, not only the defenders”, said Blues boss Conte.
