Tesla Is Using Google Glass to Build Cars Better

We haven’t heard too much about Google Glass since the company chose to halt sales last summer, but there have been rumors of an enterprise-focused version of the wearable.

Attempts to contact the San Francisco pawn shop in question, A-to-Z Pawnbrokers, were not fruitful, as the business is not open on Sundays. The current bid at the time of writing is $1,800 Dollars.

Reporting that one unit of the supposedly-forthcoming Enterprise Edition of the Google Glass is at sale on eBay, 9to5Google has revealed that, on Saturday, March 19, it spotted an eBay auction which was simply titled ‘Google Glass (black)’. The seller goes by the name of azpawnbroker.

Despite the cancellation of the previous Google Glass project, Google’s X division has reportedly been working on a new prototype under the guise “Project Aura”. The device in the listing is not brand new and comes with a USB cable, and a dust bag to store the glass.

The tech community was surprised after an unannounced enterprise version of the Google Glass appeared on eBay. The new device is similar to the earlier edition that Google stopped selling, but now it can fold like normal glasses, a feature that was requested by users and Google has fulfilled with this iteration.

The original Google Glass has nearly faded away completely after being banned in many public places around the world. Glass: Enterprise Edition is a more complete demonstration of Google’s concept of a headset that overlays digital information onto its wearer’s vision.

As for the design changes, the new Glass seems to have a folding hinge, and an outward-facing LED light. The pawn shop, which has several Bay Area locations, listed the goods on eBay. Apart from a recent FCC filling, very little else has leaked on Google’s plans for Glass.
