U.S. electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla Motors last night unveiled for the first time its new mass-market auto known as the Model 3.

Along with championing the unveiling of the auto itself, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been impressed by the interest in the vehicle and has added several other applicable countries to the order list, suggesting that global support has been higher than expected.
Currently, customers put down a refundable $1,000 deposit to order a Model 3, with some fans responsible for multiple deposits (though Musk tweeted that pre-orders would be capped at two per person). The company will double the number of Superchargers it has available to 7,200 by the time the Model 3 is released.
In terms of Design, the Model 3 looks like a combination of the Model S sedan and the Model X SUV with angular headlamps and taillamps. You can get your hands on Model 3 for a mere $35,000.
Musk said he’s “fairly confident” the first Model 3 vehicles will be delivered, as planned, by late 2017. Musk also informed event attendees that the Model 3 will start at just $35,000. The roof of the Model 3, for example, is all-glass, from the front right back to the boot. Furthermore, Musk says the auto will compete with the Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series.
Before Thursday’s presentation, lines formed outside Tesla stores as people waited to place orders for the new auto. Well the five-seater will be able to travel at least 215 miles on a single battery charge of the battery, while hitting the highest possible safety rating according to Musk.

There will be a second presentation for the Model 3 closer to the production that will reveal all details and options of the Model 3.
Past year sales of its Model S executive saloon reached 50,580 units, making it the world’s best selling pure electric vehicle in 2015.

The Model 3 will also boast a variety of autonomous features, such as the ability for the auto to pilot itself down motorways, and park itself into the tightest of spaces.
