Tesla says France fire caused by badly tightened connection
Tesla officials said that the Model 3 will be made in parts of aluminum, but not nearly the entire chassis like the Model S and X. Steel is expected to be more prominent in the Model 3 since it is cheaper and more malleable.

During the product announcement, Tesla CEO Elon Musk revealed that the new top-of-the-newline models are hitting the production lines.

Musk says the battery cell chemistry is the same but Tesla had to reconfigure the battery pack to store more energy in the same space and handle increased cooling requirements. According to the Tesla’s chief technology officer, JB Straubel said that the newly developed battery will sport entirely different module architecture and cells.
With a full charge, DragTimes says the vehicle showed 317 miles of range and testing was set to begin.

Another difference between the two electric cars is their price range. The auto will also sport the Autopilot and Supercharger options for providing the users with excellent hassle-free driving experience.
