Texans claim quarterback Brandon Weeden on waivers
The Texans may be without starting quarterback Bryan Hoyer due to a concussion.

The problem for the Texans is that despite coming away with the big win, they lost their quarterback Brian Hoyer early in the game and he’s questionable for this week’s game against the NY Jets.
O’Brien also said that Hoyer would need just one practice to be able to play. Yates led the game-winning drive, throwing a fourth quarter touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins. T.J. Yates will handle all of the first-team reps Wednesday, while practice-squad QB Zac Dysert picks up the scraps.
Cleveland released him after the 2013 season, and the Dallas Cowboys signed him in 2014 to a two-year contract for depth purposes.
The Cowboys cut Weeden, 32, on Tuesday to make room for starter Tony Romo on the active roster upon return from injury.
Weeden started three games for the Cowboys this season after Romo was injured but was eventually benched in favor of Cassel.

The Texans are 4-5 and tied atop the AFC South with the Colts, who are without Andrew Luck for a while and claimed Charlie Whitehurst last week to serve as the backup to Matt Hasselbeck.
