Texans DE Jadevon Clowney’s father charged with attempted murder

After receiving treatment at the Piedmont Medical Center, Morgan was arrested and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to the station.

According to a Rock Hill Police report, officers were called to the insane Horse, in Rock Hill, around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday morning. He is was taken to the Rock Hill Police Department to await a bond hearing.

Rock Hill police have not officially confirmed that Morgan is Clowney’s father.

David Morgan, who goes by the nickname “Chili Bean”, allegedly fired several shots at an employee who works at the insane Horse Showclub in Rock Hill after he had been removed from sitting on the stage. He is now being held in an area prison for attempted murder.

According to the report, the employee told police he later saw Morgan near a wall in the back of the property.

Morgan is no stranger to a jail cell, as he spent several years in prison while Clowney was rising through the football ranks as a teen in South Carolina.

Morgan was arrested after being treated for a gunshot wound to his shoulder at a local hospital. Morgan was sentenced to 15 years in prison after convictions for burglary and other crimes in 1995, and has a criminal record that dates back to 1987, the Herald reported.

Clowney, the No. 1 pick in the 2014 NFL draft, is entering his second season as defensive end/outside linebacker with the Houston Texans.
