Just as he predicted all along, J.J. Watt is apparently set to play in the Texans’ season opener.
Among the roster moves they made include removing J.J. Watt from the physically unable to perform list and placing him on the active roster.
Talk about beast mode, Watt is getting back into the game after July back surgery. The Texans added a new starting quarterback, Brock Osweiler, a new starting running back, Lamar Miller, this offseason, but know Watt is undeniably the leader of this team on both sides of the ball.
“I would say we’re heading in the right direction”, O’Brien said.
Brown, Houston’s left tackle for the last eight seasons, said last week he’s feeling better, but wouldn’t put a percentage on his chances of playing against Chicago. “It looks decent for him to be able to play in the first game”.

Watt is coming off an injury-riddled 2015 season in which he played through a broken hand, a back issue, and a reported five other torn core muscles.
