Texas A&M 5th straight over No
Texas A&M won their second SEC game of the season, Saturday, by defeating the Arkansas Razorbacks 45-24.

Overall, Arkansas had 120 yards on 40 carries, which would pass any defensive coordinator’s test. Take away one 55-yard run and the average would drop to 1.6 a pop.
Trevor Knight and Texas A&M take on Arkansas tonight.
Sumlin’s 3-0 Aggies opened the season defeating then-No. But this time, the Razorbacks’ fate was not sealed in overtime.
The Aggies had just tied it at 7-7 early in the second quarter on a 42-yard run by Knight, and it looked like the Hogs were going to answer with a touchdown. Drew Morgan kept countless drives alive and had a team-high 9 catches for 86 yards. Trayveon Williams ripped off touchdown runs of 33 yards and 22 yards in the fourth quarter as the Aggies (4-0, 2-0 in the SEC) posted their fifth consecutive win over the Razorbacks (3-1, 0-1). “(Last season) we just didn’t play up to the standards that we’ll have to play in order to compete at the top of our conference. “It’s been a long time since that’s happened around here”. “Again, I got to credit those guys up front”.
Not Saturday. Far from it.
Tied at 17-17, Arkansas was on their 1-yard line and appeared ready to cap a 19-play, 89-yard drive with a touchdown.
“Yeah, you know, that’s a good feeling when you bust through the hole and there’s nothing but daylight”, Knight said. “He’s got to be at his best for us to be successful”. “That’s been our identity”.
“Well, first, the play before we had the ball, obviously inside about the 2-yard line, we went with the quarterback sneak twice in a row”, Arkansas coach Bret Bielema said. Rawleigh Williams III had 79 yards rushing and a touchdown for the Razorbacks.
Earlier, the Razorbacks had to settle for a field goal after six snaps from the 2 on the same series. The biggest stop in that stand came from defensive end Myles Garrett, an Arlington Martin graduate, who tackled Williams for a 7-yard loss on a sweep.
Heavy likes the Aggies to win this one but expect the Razorbacks to hang with them until the end in a shootout.
After winning the toss, Arkansas elected to get the ball in the first half, however they were not out for long. The freshman/sophomore theme trickled all the way to the quarterback, where the Aggies had a full-time starter that was a junior or senior in the Sumlin era until this season. He later returned to the contest. “He’s a lot faster than people think when he’s out there running”, Bielema said. There’s just so much individual talent that I can’t help but buy in. On second down, Trevor Knight hit Josh Reynolds for 92 yards to give the Aggies their first lead of the game.
The second the cameras cut, Knight sprinted to the southwest corner of AT&T Stadium to attend to some pressing business. The past two years, A&M skidded to the finish after posting 5-0 records. Defensively, Texas A&M football is yielding 13.3 points per game against the opposing team. We weren’t going to get the push up there that we needed on that play and really felt good about the play that we called and, obviously, didn’t execute it the way we needed to.

As of Saturday, consider the goal-line defense fully repaired.
