Texas braces for possibly more rain after flooding kills 1

More than 16.5 inches of rain fell in some places on Thursday and Friday, prompting authorities to perform more than 50 water rescues. He says more than 100 county roads are barricaded and some roads had washed out.
A flash flood warning is in effect for parts of Travis and Hays counties until 1 a.m. The weather service says the warned areas could see four to five inches of rainfall an hour.

Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services tweeted Thursday night that it had responded to multiple scenes to assist people trapped by rising water. Residents in one neighborhood were asked to evacuate, while those in another were advised to shelter in place, she said.
