McLennan County jail records showed Dauzat was being held Friday on a murder charge. Dauzat was arrested after an hours-long standoff. “Never been anything like this”, said neighbor James Lee.
Alvarado did confirm, Bellmead Police were called to the home earlier in the day for a welfare check.
A source confirmed to KCEN Thursday afternoon that the woman found dead in a home in Bellmead was decapitated and her head was found in the freezer.
Officers were called about 11 a.m.to a mobile home in the 4300 block of Concord Road after a man told authorities he had killed his wife, KXXV-TV reported. The young couples’ two small children may have still been in the home.
They then made contact with the man, whom they were able to convince to surrender.
Martin said he was unable to formally confirm the man’s relationship to the children. Police say he came out of the home covered in blood.
The two children were not injured.
