30-year-old mother, Sheborah Thomas has been arrested for allegedly drowning her 7-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter in a bathtub, in Houston. “After she wasn’t moving and she wasn’t breathing, she took the body out of the water and placed her in the bedroom”.

Harris County criminal court records show 30-year-old Sheborah Thomas was jailed Monday on a charge of capital murder of a person under age 6. Thomas reportedly confessed that once the 5-year-old was in the tub, she grabbed the girl by her head, forcing her underwater and holding her there until she stopped moving.

“I saw her Thursday night and Friday morning”, said Ivey. He fired her after that. On Saturday, she came in for her final paycheck, which amounted to $47. Police say the woman confessed to drowning her children in a bathtub on Friday. “He thought she was joking”, Smith told the Associated Press. She goes to the store.

Restaurant owner Santiago Wesley said she was acting unusual that day. She was unable to dig the hole deep enough, which meant the bodies were still visible.

Police say the mother put them there after she had trouble burying them.

The day after the alleged murder, she returned to the restaurant to pick up her final paycheck. Police found their bodies under her neighbor’s house on Sunday. He spoke in Spanish saying they could not believe what she had done and that this had happened.

According to KHOU, neighbors and family could not comprehend the mother’s actions.

Though the case recalls that of Andrea Yates – a Houston mother who drowned her five kids in a bathtub, then was found not guilty by reason of insanity – family members told the Chronicle that Thomas does not have any history of mental illness. When friends asked where the children were, police say Thomas admitted she had killed them.

“She made sure she kept the kids clean”, neighbor Shirley Baines told the station.

Smith says that he realized she was serious when he received the same response after asking her once again. “He continued to help her pack”.

“How am I going to tell my brother about his kids?” she cried. He then parked near a police station where he later attracted the attention of an officer.

According to the Chronicle, Child Protective Services has launched an investigation, and the Office of Child Safety will conduct a “top-to-bottom review”, according to Tejal Patel, a spokesperson for Child Protective Services.
