“We’re going to work this until this is resolved”, Wichita Falls Police Chief Manuel Borrego said late Friday afternoon after two girls were shot in a normally quiet residential neighborhood in southwest Wichita Falls.

Witnesses added that the driver of the vehicle did try to evade officers, but was subdued and eventually detained by police.

Lott told police he shot Lauren first and then shot Makayla “a couple of times”, then he made his way back to Lauren before leaving the area and attempting to dispose of the rifle on a rural road. He also said he’d planned the crime after talking to the devil about it. The girls were found on the scene with gunshot wounds.

Landavazo was killed. Police say Smith is in stable condition at a hospital.

Lott remains in the Wichita Count y Jail charged with murder, aggravated assault and a prohibited weapons charge stemming from a pair of brass knuckles found inside the SUV he was driving at the time of his arrest.

He is now in jail on $4 million bond and faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Lott was upset during an interview with police after he was arrested because the media had called the shooting “senseless”.

Following the shooting his ex-girlfriend Hailee Clayton spoke to News Channel 6 to say she was physically abused by him during their two-year relationship and his harassment continued until the very day of the alleged murder.

The 20-year-old suspected shooter’s Facebook page reveals a fascination with conspiracy theories and has several references to the Illuminati. His bail is set at $4 million.

He also said thoughts and prayers were with those involved.

Wichita falls students will have access to grief counselors starting Tuesday to help deal with the aftermath of Friday’s events. “As soon as we have more information about those resources, we will pass that along to you. The world will not be the same without her”, he wrote.
