Texas Wal-Mart restaurant to serve only fair foods

With a menu that includes “cookie fries and funnel cake fries along with corn dogs, deep-fried hash browns stuffed with bacon and cheddar cheese and some new creations”, State Fair Treats is sure to change your Walmart shopping experience, but we honestly don’t know if our stomachs are ready for it.

Walmart will serve as the landlord, not an investor in State Fair Treats, according to the Dallas News. “And the opportunities that were coming to us because of the State Fair, words can’t describe it”.

Unfortunately for all our health, a chef named Isaac Rousso has teamed up with Walmart to create a restaurant that serves the most risky items on your summer splurge list all year round. “The State Fair of Texas for me has been the greatest blessing that’s ever come to my family”, Rousso shared.

The first State Fair Treats opens up in Plano, Texas on September 20 at the Wal-Mart at 425 Coit Road.

They’re so cute! Created by Issac Rousso, the owner of State Fair Treats, a cookie fry is a cookie with a crinkle-cut appearance, and offered with a side of strawberry or milk chocolate sauce.

If all goes well, Rousso plans to take his state fair restaurant on the road and expand across the country.

“Walmart was looking for a creative new food concept to energize high profile locations”, said Rousso to a local news station.

In addition to fried treats and never-before-seen food, the restaurant will also be serving smoky bacon margaritas.
