Soon after the disgusting post went online, animal control was alerted and quickly seized the dog, Cinnamon, and placed her with a foster family, where she will stay until she is adopted into her forever home.
The post ignited a firestorm after it went live Thursday, reports KYTX-TV.
When asked by CBS19 why she wanted to kill the dog, the woman said that she could no longer take care of the dog and that it was constantly getting into the garbage. “URGENT FOSTER REQUEST!!!” they posted to their Facebook page, “the owner of this dog is threatening to shoot it because it gets into the trash!!!”
“She’s a sweet dog and how can somebody shoot a sweet dog?” animal shelter coordinator Nanette Moss was reported as saying. “When she walked through my door it just broke my heart”, she explained. “I know how the media works”, said a man who answered the door, “you people are the [expletive] devil!” “If she had not surrendered the dog, then yes, she would have faced animal cruelty charges”.

The woman eventually gave the dog to animal control officers. “I work with these dogs every day”, she gushed. Police note that they have no plans to file criminal charges against the woman as she willingly handed over the bulldog when they responded to the complaint.
