Text Offender: Jared Fogle’s Gross Messages Are Worse Than You Thought

The government is arguing against a reduced sentence for Fogle, who pleaded guilty to child sex crimes and possession of child pornography.

But pointing to the newly-unveiled texts, the US Attorney claims Fogle is lucky to have a sentence so short.

“I’ll pay you big for a 14- or 15-year old”, Jared states in the text messages. The man’s family told TMZ they’re not surprised he attacked Fogle because he had been angry about the amount of child sex predators in the low-security facility. Prosecutors argued Fogle failed to report Taylor and subsequently benefited from the conspiracy be interacting in social settings with children with whom Taylor had secretly videotaped. “In doing so, the court made no procedural error, factual or otherwise”.

The prosecution is contending that the 15.6 year sentence is reasonable in light of the evidence, and they revealed the new details to support their case.

The brief goes on to say: “The district court’s sentencing decision was procedurally proper”.

“What does she look like? The judge exercised her discretion well; she did not abuse it. The Court should reject his challenge”, the 42-page filing states.

After rising to fame by losing 200 pounds, in part by eating Subway sandwiches, Fogle is serving 15.8 years in prison after pleading guilty to child pornography charges and having sex with minors.

The government’s response includes texts Fogle exchanged with adult escorts, some of which were read aloud during his November sentencing.

Fogle: “I just landed in Vegas”. “If they can and you get me 15 or below, I’ll give you 400 at least”.

Woman: “Are you going to pay me, too, or can I come back?”

Although he once rubbed elbows with celebrities as the public face of Subway, Jared Fogle has had a rough ride since he hit the stony lonesome. “Contrary to Fogle’s argument, the facts the judge considered were the facts the judge considered were accurate and appropriate, and the judge’s explanation of its sentence was more than adequate”, the brief read.
