Police have initially charged them with premeditated murder and concealing a body, with robbery or theft being considered if there is sufficient evidence to substantiate it, he added.

Local reports said Pattaya police nabbed the teenagers, both Thai nationals aged 17 and 14, for the murder of 28-year-old Amphol Kongsong on Sunday.
The older boy claimed he thought Amphon sincerely wanted to help without wanting anything from him.
A maid who entered the room for cleaning the next morning also noticed the bad smell and found traces of blood leading to the bottom of the bed.
The older teen got to know Amphon through recent Facebook conversations. The teenager, who was looking for work, asked his younger friend to accompany him.
Amphon checked into the room on the teens’ behalf on Aug 16.
“[It’s] just a shock because I’m like, okay, I done laid on top of this woman’s body”, said an unidentified individual who rented the room and slept on that same mattress. But on Thursday night, the transgender woman allegedly asked to have sex with the 17-year-old boy, but he said no because he didn’t like men.
Police officers lifted up the mattress and found Amphon’s body underneath. Scared of the punishment, they hid the body under the hotel’s bed and escaped. Her body has been sent for autopsy. [The] two guests [left the room Saturday morning] but apparently were unaware that there was a dead body under their bed. They asked for the room to be sprayed but spent the night anyway, Daily News reported.

He continues to say that a fight broke out in the room after the victim made sexual advances and in a “fit of rage” he strangled her while the other boy held down her legs.
