Hadid was attending the Daily Front Row’s 4th Annual Fashion Media Awards in NY on Thursday, where she skipped the red carpet but took to the stage later on to honour the man behind the dress, Tommy Hilfiger.

Panichgul’s first store opened in Manhattan in August.

EVEN for someone with such an unbelievable figure as Gigi Hadid’s, there are some outfits that still get our alarm bells ringing. Last December, Vivian Chou, the daughter of Hong Kong tycoon Silas Chou, took a majority stake in the brand he launched in 2004.

The model and designer have teamed up to put out a collaborative collection that will be launched on Friday as part of the Hilfiger fashion show. “Have Now.” availability through an experiential fashion show open to press and consumers.

The show, which kicks off at 7pm, will offer typical carnival fare of hot dogs, games and rides – a 40 foot ferris wheel! – mixed with urban touches, such as a tattoo parlor (temporary and real) and a store selling repurposed vintage Tommy from the ’80s and ’90s.

“One of the things that we really had to organise was getting the right seat for Gigi’s friend Taylor Swift”, he said.

“The feeling you get when you look at the campaign is the same feeling we had when we were shooting it, playful and spirited, so that’s really exciting”, says Hadid.

“I honestly, for every single piece, thought of someone different, my friends”.

And while her ensemble was worthy of a standing ovation, it’s Hilfiger who received plenty of applause at the event, where the model presented him with the Fashion Visionary of the Year Award. “You know, some with logos, some more sporty, some more hippie, some more preppy, classic Tommy”, she explained.
