Thanks but no thanks to President Obama
After historic deadly flooding in the state, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump went down to visit Louisiana.

EDWARDS: But I’ve been talk (ph) – the White House asked me – in fact, the president and Valerie Jarrett asked me when would be a good time for a visit.
Meanwhile, he offered praise for Republican Donald Trump for his visit to Louisiana Friday.
Facing criticism for remaining in New England on vacation instead of visiting flood-ravaged Louisiana, President Barack Obama will travel to Baton Rouge this week.
“I’ve had a great history with Louisiana”, Trump told reporters, notes ABC News.
Democrat Hillary Clinton called Gov. John Bel Edwards, but has not visited, suggesting that there shouldn’t be any visits just yet – saying the relief effort doesn’t need “distractions”.
President Obama is coming to Louisiana on Tuesday to visit the flooded areas around Baton Rouge.
Clinton, the Democratic presidential nominee, made the comments a day before President Obama is scheduled to visit the state.
Thursday night, while campaigning in Charlotte, North Carolina, Trump took a moment to send condolences to Louisiana, a state he said is “very, very special” to him. Before he came down, I said we welcome him here, we want him to be helpful. “And we’re going to lose bigger than this flood ever did”. If you watched any of the mainstreamers, you were under the impression that the Governor told Trump not to come.
Yet Kellie Michelli, who lost her home in the flood and was also at the church to pick up food with her family, beamed as she showed off an autograph on a Trump hat from an earlier rally in Baton Rouge. Edwards said he is “not complaining in any way about our federal partnership”, and said the president would do best to visit after police had restored stability to the area and could safely provide security again.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced over the weekend that more than $56 million in federal money had been approved for Louisiana in the first week since Obama declared it a federal emergency.

“We welcome him (Louisiana), but not for a photo operation”, said the governor’s office in a statement asking the NY to help by volunteering or making “a substantial donation”.
