That Iowa couple Christie talks about? They voted for Rubio

US Senator Ted Cruz, who won the Iowa caucuses on strong evangelical Christian credentials, was expected to have less appeal for voters in New Hampshire.

“Be careful”, Bush murmured to his mom.

But while the audience was quick to heap applause on Barbara Bush, several Republicans in the crowd seemed wary of a fourth Bush term. She’s “sick of him”. “I’m optimistic about how we can solve the problems in front of us”. “They do not want to run against me”. By contrast, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush released a full-page newspaper ad attacking Trump and was airing a two-minute campaign ad in New Hampshire featuring clips of Trump’s on-air insults.

To bounce back after stumbles in the first two states would be a herculean task for the former governor of Florida, who is getting more attention as a poster boy for disastrous campaigning than a potential victor.

Polling averages by The Huffington Post put Mr Bush in sixth place in New Hampshire.

Rumours have swirled of donors bailing on Bush and switching to the more telegenic Rubio, who beat expectations in Iowa and finished third, one point behind the billionaire Trump, the overall Republican frontrunner.

“No. I do not”.

“Actually I liked him a lot better than I realized I would”, she said. “I’m sick of him”.

“That’s my job”, he said about attacking Trump. This isn’t bean bag, you know.

Former first lady Barbara Bush said Friday that she doesn’t understand how women can vote for Donald Trump after his attacks on Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly. Bush then criticized Trump for negative remarks about Latinos, Muslims and the disabled, saying, “I’m not a professional but there’s some deep insecurities going on in that guy’s head”.

The barbs worked both ways, however.

Bush’s performance in Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary could make or break his bid to follow in the footsteps of his father and brother, and his town hall meetings across the Granite State have focused on what he calls his “steady” leadership.

Meanwhile, Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders had a strong showing in Iowa finishing just behind Hillary Clinton in a race the Iowa Democratic Party dubbed the closest in its caucus history.

“Barbara Bush is the most popular Bush and a reminder of what is good about the family”, Mr. Wead says.

“Part of the campaign is not just about how you trash somebody else”.

Bush said the experience plunged him into an effort to understand such people’s lives.

And those words and after a short pause, Bush looked at the crowd appearing desperate and asked the crowd in what seemed to be a humble tone, “Please clap”. “Anybody that has lived through all these campaigns can remember having a dinner, having a picture, having a handwritten thank you note, going to Kennebunkport”. She says when she does vote, she won’t tell anyone.
