That Spice Girls Reunion Might Finally be Happening

Bunton told the Telegraph in an interview this week she is hopeful for some sort of reunion. Meanwhile, back in December Brown explained, “It’s our 20th anniversary this year, and it would be rude not to celebrate”. The 1.8 million copies of Spice selling out in Britain within a 7-week span made the Spice Girls the quickest-rising British act since the Beatles. While the former four have long said they’re game, Victoria Beckham recently broke our hearts by stating she would not join the ladies for a long-awaited reunion tour.

A missing Spice Girl is something of a sore subject for fans, since Halliwell’s departure from the group in 1998 is often cited as the beginning of the end for the Spice Girls. “The girls have always been keen to do a major reunion tour together”. “She also feels that they left the stage on an unbelievable high with their Olympics performance and worries a reunion could tarnish their legacy”.

The popularity of “Wannabe” influenced the Spice Girls’ appearance in Top of the Pops magazine where each member was given a nickname based upon her representation. And we mean all five of them – Baby, Ginger, Sporty, Scary and Posh.

There are no deets yet on dates or tour stops, but we’ll keep our eyes open and start pulling our Union Jack spandex and mile-high platforms out of the closet just to be ready!

Question is, if the Spice Girls really make this reunion happen – VB or no VB – would you nab tickets? However, another one of Us Weekly’s mysterious sources reveals that Beckham might “film something with them” or perhaps make some surprise appearances at shows “here and there”.

'We adore each other I would love to do something' said'Emma'Baby Spice Bunton.
