The 100 fans still have a long wait until Season 3 of the post-apocalyptic series premieres on The CW, but that doesn’t mean that the flood of news on the upcoming season is slowing down at all.

Shawn Mendes has fashioned a Hot 100 hit out of his Handwritten highlight “Stitches”, and for a new acoustic version of the track, he called in his pal Hailee Steinfeld, most recently of Pitch ideal 2 fame.
That’s right, Shawn Mendes is taking the world by storm and now he is going to try his hand at acting, as he is set to play a “young Ark survivor” on the tween series. “SO EXCITED!!” Shawn wrote next to his trailer, which revealed his character name as Macallan. In other news it seems like the episode might even get a musical twist, at least if executive producer Jason Rothenberg, gets his way. Perhaps everyone’s favorite engineer and Mendes’ “scrappy survivor” end up crooning out a duet together.
