The 16th India-Russia annual summit starts in Moscow
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on Thursday hosted Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a visit that could see billions of dollars clinched in defence and energy deals. While flying for Kabul from Moscow post mid-night last night, an all satisfied PM tweeted, ” Goodbye Russia.,.I, leave with a great sense of satisfaction that this visit will further cement India-Russia ties”.

Bilateral trade between the two countries stands at $10bn (£6.74bn) and Russian Federation is India’s second largest defence supplier.

The two leaders noted that India’s participation as a partner country in the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM 2016 and Russia’s involvement as a partner country in India Engineering Sourcing Show 2017 could spur a fresh wave of growth in the field of industry, scientific and technological innovations.
