There was one major twist in Avengers: Infinity War that nearly didn’t happen, it has been revealed.

Infinity War is still in the early days of its record-breaking run, though said records might very well fall this time next year when the now untitled Avengers 4 arrives in theaters.
The reason I think it’s weak is because of the magnitude of the threats in Infinity War.
According to Joe Russo, he and his Anthony are trying to create a story that is original to the MCU with references from the previous storyline. Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige told Vanity Fair the next 20 MCU films will be something “completely different” from what we’ve seen so far. Yes, the post-credits scene does invoke her with Nick Fury bringing out a beeper that shows her logo, but we never see her. In a subsequent interview with ComicBook.com, the Russos suggested that the title may not come from any previous Avengers comic. And, again, that’s why we love Marvel so much is they never let the tail wag the dog.
There is an air of finality about the whole thing – that next April will be the last time we’ll be seeing The Avengers properly assemble – but it turns out, that may not be the case.
Interested in Marvel? Add Marvel as an interest to stay up to date on the latest Marvel news, video, and analysis from ABC News. In case you haven’t seen Disney’s massive hit yet, you should know several spoilers follow below, so better avoid this mystery until you see the movie. Well, we know the broad strokes but have little in the way of specifics. I also feel we got robbed seeing Hulk vs Cull Obsidian, but again this is if I’m being super nitpicky. Also, given that Steve Rogers, Black Widow and so many of Hawkeye’s allies are still alive, it’s likely he’ll learn about Thanos’ genocide from them and won’t go on some wild goose chase. We still remember all the excitement when Nick Fury sends the distress signal to Captain marvel.

This makes sense given Captain Marvel will introduce the Kree-Skrull War to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is expected to take place predominantly in space.
