The Avon Labor Day Weekend Weather Outlook
As of right now that is the only chance for rain in Connecticut’s upcoming forecast. That’s thanks to an onshore flow and Hurricane Gaston far out in the Atlantic. We will also be keeping a close eye on visibility readings this morning, because patchy fog will be possible. If you’re headed to the beaches, the big concern is the continuing risk for unsafe rip currents. High: Mid 80s – Near 90 degrees.

Today: Sunny and warm, but with low humidity.
With temperatures around 50 in most of the north country, Tuesday was off to a cool start. But, moisture from the mountains and the Gulf of Mexico may lead to downpours – there is a 20 percent to 30 percent chance of thunderstorms each day this week.
Today: More sunshine and warm.
Thursday may see a lingering shower early with temps back down in the low 80s.
Overnight: Clear and comfortable. Highs will be in the upper-60s in higher elevations and in the low- to mid-70s elsewhere.
Thursday will bring relief from the wet conditions for a mostly sunny and much less humid day.
Heading into the holiday weekend, Friday and Saturday will be sunny, pleasant and mild with highs in the mid to upper 70s.
