The Bachelor 2016 – Ben H: Episode 5 Recap
Most of the ladies buried their faces in their pillows hoping that their future husband wouldn’t catch a glimpse of what they look like without a full-face of makeup and voluminous hair.

The After Party: Jubilee, like many a YouTube commenter, really wanted to be first, but once again Olivia beat her to the punch to talk to Ben.
Ben explained that he didn’t feel confident in them as a couple because “I just want to grab your hand…you pull away”. Then Emily opened the valve and the other women’s Olivia revelations spilled out.
“I hate Olivia. It’s okay to say that, like she’s a bully”. Emily, the other contestant who decided her occupation was best described as “Twin”, chose to use her one-on-one time with Hellman’s mayonnaise to talk about how awful Olivia has been in the past few weeks (and let’s face it, if it were Twitter, that “Teen Mom” joke should be kept in the drafts).
They hadn’t been so smug when he sent Jubilee home during the group date, but she was nowhere near as annoying as Olivia. They end up in a classroom where they are briefly taught some romantic phrases in Spanish. Sean would pick certain girls that were not like me and I’d think, ‘If Sean likes that type, surely he’ll get rid of me soon.’ And I think that’s what’s happening in the house.
Alas, we have reached our first boring episode of The Bachelor Season 20. They tell Higgins about Olivia’s “bad behavior”, and he eventually confronts her about the situation.
When the women went to Ben to finally reveal what his front-runner is really like, the Bachelor didn’t know how to take it. “I’m really questioning tonight who Olivia is”, he said. Jubilee and Lauren B. won the competition with a fish dish.
Ben eliminated Jubilee. She cried real tears of rejection.
She also joked: “I don’t think those were cankles”.
When he returned, the girls were not at all shocked about his decision, but they all feel a little on edge realizing how seriously Ben is taking things. The last date of the week is the dreaded two-on-one date, which always leaves at least one shell-shocked woman on her way home. It was time for the cocktail party before the rose ceremony and the ladies kept talking about how they couldn’t believe that Olivia, who treats them like crap, keeps getting roses. (I think Ben has started a trend with this whole “unlovable” thing). As for the other women on the group date… he gave Olivia the rose!
Date No. 3 with Lauren H.: So Ben and teacher Lauren just happened to be browsing in a Pineda Covalin store and the designer just happened to invite them to Mexican Fashion Week and then the fashion week director just happened to invite them to model in a show.
If you are spoiler-free, or if you love spoilers but have already read them and are here for recaps of cringe-worthy TV, read on! She doesn’t think that is what Ben wants.
Another episode of The Bachelor, another shocking exit from one of the girls.
Ben treated Lauren B., Jubilee, Becca, JoJo, Caila, Emily, Jennifer, Leah, and Olivia to some Spanish lessons.

At the rose ceremony elimination for “The Bachelor” 2016 episode 6, Higgins chose to let go of Lauren. This not only enrages Amanda but also numerous of the other women – especially Emily. She keeps losing cool points in my mind. It seemed like she was trying to tell him about the microagressions she had experienced, and the difference she felt between her and other girls. This means Lauren H. has the final one on one. She makes an excellent joke about Ben force-feeding Olivia fresh mint to fight off her dog breath.
