‘The Bachelor’ Ben Higgins makes his pick

The man who once deemed himself unlovable got engaged to the woman of his dreams Lauren Bushnell on the finale of The Bachelor last night leaving poor Jojo Fletcher heartbroken.

So, Chris Harrison chose to see if Ben would put his money where his mouth is. She finished as Ben Higgins’ runner-up behind Lauren Bushnell, whom the software salesman ultimately proposed marriage to.

One day after the show aired, Ben told Good Morning America he would gladly offer advice to JoJo about how to handle the job.

Higgins had previously admitted that he loved both of them. It’s possible that until the Bachelor finale ended, neither Lauren nor JoJo knew that he had said it to the other woman.

While Higgins and Bushnell started becoming even more nervous, Harrison pointed how prepared Bushnell is with her white dress.

“I’m just not involved in the process and that’s not up to me, right?”

To cap off the moment, he presented her with a 4.25-carat engagement sparkler by Neil Lane – the largest ring in franchise history. Personally I think JoJo will be the more entertaining star of the next Bachelorette.

In their appearance, Lauren made it clear that she and Ben will be moving forward and forget about the unpleasant episodes of the show. Do you feel bad for Jojo being sent home in tears?

“I want to find my husband”, JoJo told People “I want to find the person who will complete me and who will love me as much as I love him”.

“It never did”, Ben answered, not helping the situation any. As JoJo left, she said he shouldn’t have told her he loved her. His voice quivering, he added, “I don’t want to say goodbye”. Higgins asked, dropping to one knee.

“I wanna wake up every morning and kiss you on the face”, he replied. Read on if you want to learn more about this story.

The after show brings Ben and Lauren out for their first public appearance together.

“The reason I’m calling is that I love your daughter a lot and I wish I could have told you that when I was in Portland, [Oregon]”. And which contestant was named The Bachelorette 2016? “Ben, it’s your move, my friend!”
