The Bachelor Fans Petition for Unprecedented New Season

We’re now over two days removed from “The Bachelor” announcement heard around the world, and we’re still not sure everyone has recovered yet from the news that Nick Viall, and not Luke Pell as many thought, is going to be the lead for the upcoming season. “If I was asked to do Paradise, I don’t think that that’s something I would be interested in”.

And as for how he really feels about The Bachelor – well, he might feel like he dodged a bullet. “I want to head back into taking control of my own destiny”. “I’m excited about who I’m going to meet, and who I’ll end up with”. “I always knew that there was a chance that changes could happen at any time regarding casting and regarding situations on and off camera”.

In the gorgeous resort town of Sayulita, Mexico, the drama continues for the hopeful contestants in the two-night season finale of the highly anticipated “Bachelor in Paradise”, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EDT). He was also a contestant on “The Bachelorette” seasons of Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe who both dumped him on national TV. But a part of him was hoping he’d get to be the one handing out roses this time around, which distracted him from fully settling into his normal Nashville life. But, will doubts arise as the couples face what the future holds for their relationships?

ABC dropped the news on Tuesday that Nick Viall is “The Bachelor” 2017. “I was checked in to my flight to come to L.A.”, he explained”. Just hours before he was supposed to leave for the airport, Pell got a call from the network, and everything came to “an abrupt halt”. Us Weekly reported on it originally, stating that while it was only sources that confirmed to the magazine that Caila would be taking on the leading role, she was seen filming her opening package for the show – a strong indicator that the role was hers. Even franchise host Chris Harrison spoke to the controversial pick, saying, “While Luke and Chase [McNary, also from JoJo’s season] were good guys, we all just kept coming back to Nick, and it’s just insane enough to work”. “I was willing and happy to do [that]”.

One thing is for certain, however, and that is that ABC won’t rest until Nick Viall, for whatever reason, is happy.
