Ben had a great time with Amanda and her kids. It was the day when she is going to reveal everything to her family and siblings, both of them was little nervous. Her girls are adorable.
Ben shares an adventurous rafting trip down a jungle river with Caila, who is still struggling with the fact that there are other women vying for the Bachelor’s heart. Lauren’s sister had a nice talk with Ben to make sure that he wasn’t giving the same speech to each family and was being genuine. The couple was eager to sample food trucks and go inside a whiskey library. Bringing Higgins to hang out with her daughters was a big step for her and for her family. She explains everything to him, and he is uncomfortable but tries to be reassuring.
At the end of the night, questions and doubts swirled around Lauren B.’s head. “I bet they would say that they didn’t really know the person on the show, and they truly fell in love AFTER the show”. But is she Ben’s favorite? “They’ll say it, but it will feel awkward”, she continued. After all the fun and games, her family took center stage. They seem like a wholesome, tight-knit family that are open to get to know Ben, but are wary of his intentions.
This is a side of Caila we haven’t seen before. Her brothers are really protective of her, which is kind of sweet. The jury’s out on that one. The insane thing is that Lauren also started crying when she started talking about Ben. Jojo arrived at home to a bouquet of flowers and a love letter, which she assumed was from Ben. Boy was she wrong!
Now before we get to the news about the fantastic location for Week 9, you may want to catch up on where this season is currently. Ben even feeds her a grilled cheese, which is undoubtedly romantic. If she was going to stay guarded the whole time, what was the point of going on “The Bachelor?”. Caila’s inability to share her insecurity is holding her back from expressing her true feelings to Ben. Amanda’s mom said that Ben was young yet mature, but it was still too early to tell what he would be like as an instant dad.
This date left me so torn, or maybe not so much.
And you can bet that the emotions will be running high in paradise, which is exactly where Higgins and his trio of potential life mates are headed. No one was on the same page. He was the first man Amanda introduced to her kids since she got divorced, and then he immediately sent her home. Wow this was hard to watch. They even alleged that he has totally “Brainwashed” her and she is not listening to her mind, Ben justifies. He couldn’t even make it through the final interview without breaking down – AGAIN! Ben insisted that he really cared about JoJo, but Matt thinks that he’s faking his feelings for her. Her mom tells Ben about how high Caila’s standards are which worries Ben that he won’t be able to meet them. I’m glad she didn’t, because if she did, I think Ben would’ve have been crushed beyond measure.
