The Bachelorette star Ben Higgins is ABC’s new Bachelor for season 20

“It’s incredible. I think people like me don’t get opportunities like this”, Ben, who lost out to Shawn Booth as he competed for Kaitlyn Bristowe’s heart in the most recent season of ‘The Bachelorette, ‘ revealed on the show.

Reacting to his casting, Higgins said: “It’s incredible”.

Not long after the announcement was made, comedian turned actress Amy Schumer reached out to Higgins through a phone call.

“You know what? I would love for her to come on this season”. “Find love, and then send some my way”, she said. His first stop before he starts filming Season 20 of ABC’s popular reality show is Good Morning America.

“I’m excited”, Higgins told host Chris Harrison on “After Paradise”. The season, which began with the 25 men voting for either Bristowe or Britt Nilsson as the Bachelorette, earned buzz over Bristowe admitting on camera that she had slept with Viall prior to the fantasy-suite dates.

About a month ago, it was rumored that Higgins, who was the second runner-up, would be next season’s suitor – and now Higgins has confirmed that the rumors were true!

As for how he feels about Kaitlyn now, Ben admitted that there’s no bad blood between himself and his on-screen ex. Higgins is a smart guy, but he chose to go after love instead of continuing with his career right now.

“I think, just to be fair to myself, I wanted to take a couple days to process it through and make sure I thought of all the different pros and cons”, he said. This time however, it will be Higgins up on the dais as he returns to the Bachelor Nation.

Rossiter added: “We also look for is this person really ready to find the love of their life and get married?”
