The Beatles finally arrive on streaming services
“On December 24 at 12:01am local time – here, there and everywhere – The Beatles’ music is available for streaming worldwide”, an announcement on the band’s website said.

The best thing you can say about the release of The Beatles back catalog on streaming services is that it’s better late than never.
Actor Hugh Grant, 55, has welcomed his fourth child, a girl born to him and his Swedish girlfriend Anna Eberstein on Wednesday, said reports citing a story in Swedish regional newspaper Sundsvall Tinding.
The music streaming platforms that will have The Beatles include Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play, and Tidal.
Years of waiting are over for Beatles fans wanting to listen to the Fab Four’s music on streaming services such as Apple Music and Spotify.
Spotify, the largest service, counts more than 20 million paying subscribers and about 80 million free users world wide; Apple Music had 6.5 million subscribers and 8.5 million in free trial as of October.
“Attention, United Kingdom! The Beatles are now streaming from Liverpool to London, and beyond”. And they are the biggest-selling act in the U.S., with 178million sales.
The Billboard magazine reported last week that Beatles’ music was coming to a streaming service, but did not specify which one. When the Beatles joined the iTunes Store five years ago, within seven days two million singles and up to 500,000 albums had been sold.
It’s a long overdue move, and as the mythology around the band continues to fade with time it may introduce their music to a new generation who may not be aware of who they are and what they did.
Their songs will not, however, be available on the Pandora music service.

The Beatles have been the most prominent streaming holdout, preferring instead to remaster existing albums and boost their quality.
