The Beatles’ world famous back catalogue is now available on music streaming

Reports have been out for about a week now that Christmas Eve will mark the debut of a new band on several streaming music services. Swift was insistent that Spotify limit access to her songs to paid subscribers only, and when Spotify refused, she pulled her catalog and lashed out at streaming in general as a “grand experiment”.

In time for Christmas, the rock band The Beatles has announced that they will be ending a boycott of music streaming.

“Today, we’re able to fulfil that request just in time for families around the world to enjoy together over the holidays”.

THE BEATLES’ catalog didn’t officially enter the digital music world until iTUNES picked up right in 2010, more than five years after the digital music store launch.

So here’s hoping The Beatles make a big enough splash to kick Justin Bieber off the top of Spotify’s global chart.

The full list of supported services includes Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, Microsoft Groove, Amazon Music, Tidal, Rhapsody, Deezer and Slacker. In addition, for customers who have not subscribed to Google Play Music, The Beatles’ albums will also be available for purchase.

“On December 24 at 12:01am local time – here, there and everywhere – The Beatles’ music is available for streaming worldwide”, the announcement said.
