“To honour this global celebration and pay tribute to Toronto – the site of the NBA’s first game – we’ve incorporated design elements that are inspired by the city’s basketball history, sports culture and unique fashion scene…”

It will be the 65 All-Star Game and the first time ever that it will be hosted outside of the United States. Maple leaves, the Toronto skyline, and commemorative patches to signify each player’s achievements are intricately designed throughout the collection as well, following in the footsteps of previous All-Star game collections.

This season’s National Basketball Association all-stars will play in jerseys that both pay homage to Toronto’s National Basketball Association history, and celebrate the game’s first appearance in Canada.

The uniforms for the 2015-2016 NBA All-Star Eastern team are unveiled in Toronto on Wednesday, December 2, 2015.

The most notable nod to The 6 is the typeface featured on the front of the uniforms, which matches the one worn by the Raptors. While sponsor patches have appeared on jerseys for events like the slam dunk and three-point shooting contests, 2016 marks the first time sponsor logos will appear on all-star game uniforms.

The jackets also feature a zipper pocket on the arm with patches touting the various awards and titles players have won. The deal was negotiated Turner Sports and the auto company and will also be found on the retail jerseys that fans will be able to purchase for $70 to $110 depending on the material.
