The Bills-Jets ‘Color Rush’ uniforms were really, ahem, festive

Well, this was a big mistake!

Or at least the colors of Christmas did in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Thursday night when the Buffalo Bills (5-4) and NY Jets (5-4) took the field at MetLife Stadium.

The Bills – who were clad head to toe in red uniforms – and the Jets – who similarly wore green over every inch of their bodies – put together the best worst most weird Christmas-like display of football we think we’ve ever seen, and it didn’t go over so well with fans! Red-green colorblindness is the most common, making it hard to distinguish between the players’ red and green uniforms. “We did test jerseys this summer on field and on television”.

“I actually like the way they are doing it this time, because everything is baby blue – the socks, the cleats, everything, ‘ Morgan said”. It is reported that over 10,000,000 Americans are colorblind.

The Color Rush campaign is created to unite teams and fan bases.

The Color Rush will be featured in three other games this season, all on Thursday: Titans-Jaguars next week, Panthers-Cowboys on Thanksgiving and Bucs-Rams on December 17. However, the National Football League teams up with Nike this year for the color rush, which will feature four Thursday games where both teams wear colors and no one wears white.
