Watch as Hayes reveals his decision in this legendary Dark Knight-themed recruiting announcement.
Hayes had been committed to USC for more than a year until he decommitted in October, when coach Steve Sarkisian was about to be fired. Soon after the footage concluded at Skyline High School, the lights were flipped back on to Hayes slipping on a Notre Dame cap. Hayes plans to graduate early from Ann Arbor Skyline High School, and start college in January, so he can begin to participate in spring practice, according to David Goricki of the Detroit News. A slew of interviews with Hayes are popping up around the web, where Hayes discusses his decision to come to Notre Dame, including an in-depth video interview with Irish 247.
But four-star linebacker Daelin Hayes had three colleges from enemy territory on his final list.
Hayes has finished his high school classes and will be a mid-term enrollee at whichever school he chooses.
In total, Hayes collected 23 offers from Division I programs including Alabama, Cincinnati, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee and UCLA.
