In the four days since the expansion was unveiled, the Steam page for Ark has been inundated with negative reviews and complaints.

ARK: Survival Evolved is now in Early Access, and it is scheduled for full release on Linux, Mac OS X, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One before the end of 2016. While the core game presents a harsh environment where players have to use their ingenuity to survive, the new expansion pack ups the ante with the added concern of heat and limited water. Available today on both Steam Early Access and Xbox One Game Preview, Scorched Earth gives players a desert-themed ARK with new biomes, creatures, and gameplay mechanics. This makes it a versatile mount, says Studio Wildcard. On the other hand, Primal Survival has been handed off to Studio Wildcard’s Egyptian development partner, Instinct Games.
