Joel Schumacher’s 1987 film of the same name was written by Jan Fischer, James Jeremias, and Jeffrey Boam. Every season would bring a new setting, new human characters, and a new antagonist, while the titular vampires remain the same.
Danielle Stokdyk, Dan Etheridge, Mike Karz, and Bill Bindley serve as executive producers alongside Thomas, under the auspices of Spondoolie Productions, Gulfstream Television, and Warner Bros.
I love the idea for this show, and I get the impetus to use The Lost Boys brand to hook in audiences.
Gulfstream Television head Juliana Janes, who was instrumental in putting the project together, will oversee for the company.
The original film starred Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman and more and follows the adventures of two brothers who, after moving to California, find themselves facing off against a gang of vampires.
Plans for the Lost Boys series arrive just as The CW prepares to begin the final season of their hit vampire series The Vampire Diaries.
