The dad jokes are strong with Tim Kaine

Hillary Clinton’s running mate introduced himself to America on Wednesday night.

Even still, Kaine’s speech was the most aggressive, direct critique of Trump by any of the major speakers at the DNC so far.

Beside self-interested, Kaine said Trump was untrustworthy, mentioning that he would not release his tax records for public review.

Kaine joining the ticket created a balance, said Michelle Chamber, a delegate from Fort Wayne. “An epidemic of gun violence overwhelmed our low-income neighborhoods”.

“She was not afraid to stand up against thugs and dictators, and as a key part of the Obama national security team, they chose to go to the ends of the earth to wipe out (al-Qaeda chief) Osama bin Laden”, he said.

In a speech in which Hillary Clinton appealed directly to the supporters of her erstwhile primary rival, she also drew applause in the hall with praise of Republicans on a night of flag-waving, military-saluting, Constitution-embracing appeals to patriotism.

And Clinton offered an open hand to backers of Sanders, saying, “I’ve heard you”.

Manafort says Trump thinks America is great “but the American people don’t feel that the future is what they want it to be”. “We salute his achievements and know he will continue to do his best as a ‘man for others'”.

Biden, a loyal Democratic soldier and a popular figure within the party, said Clinton “has always been there for you. We simply can not let that happen in America”.

DiSalvo pointed out that Kaine is the son-in-law of former Virginia Gov. Linwood Holton, a Republican who opposed racial segregation and increased the number of women and African-Americans employed by the state. “He has a habit of saying the same two words right after he makes his biggest promises: ‘Believe me, ‘” said Kaine.

“I haven’t been informed of that change, but I’m going to check it out”, Kaine said earlier in July.

Mr Kaine denounced Donald Trump during his speech, calling him a “slick-talking, empty promising, self-promoting one man wrecking crew”. Campaign spokesman Nick Merrill said the newly disclosed breach affected a Democratic National Committee voter analysis program used by the campaign and other organizations. Kaine now says he can’t support it in his current form, though many Sanders voters remain unconvinced.

Kaine then went into all the reasons he doesn’t trust Donald Trump, who often uses the phrase, “Believe me”. Elizabeth Warren, a champion of tougher restrictions on Wall Street and other liberal causes.

Could a vice-presidential candidate make a difference in a close election?

The group included former U.S. Sen. McCain, of Arizona, wrote political scientist Stacy Ulbig, of Sam Houston State University.

“It’s important to have a system to control the border, and so when we first started getting flooded with people it was hard to decide what to do”, he said. “Bernie will have so much more power and say now in the Senate than he has before”.
