The Dallas Cowboys will reportedly cut ties with Greg Hardy
The report added that Hardy had become a “constant headache” for head coach Jason Garrett. The defensive end is said to have violated the substance abuse policy of the NFL, according to the National Football Post.

The Cowboys plan to move on from the free-agent defensive end this offseason, 105.3 The Fan in Dallas reported Monday, citing sources.
The really good football teams tend to get pressure on the quarterbacks, so it continues to be a goal of ours. He improved immensely the following season compiling 55 total tackles and eight sacks.
Werder did say, however, that the Cowboys had more interest in Manziel prior to the latest allegations of domestic violence against the soon-to-be-banished Cleveland Browns quarterback against his ex-girlfriend.
“He is aware that everything he does-his personality, his style, his enthusiasm-it’s all going to be interpreted negatively”, Jones said after meeting with Hardy in November, per ESPN.com’s Jean-Jacques Taylor.
In 2014 Hardy missed 15 games due to a high-profile domestic violence case. During that time, he failed four drug tests, leading to the four-game suspension. He had just one 100-yard game on the season and never caught more than five passes in a game.
Will the experiences with Gregory and Hardy cause the Cowboys to stop taking chances with players with character risks? “The answer to that is no. It won’t keep us from looking at something again in the future”.
There were few positives for the Cowboys last season, and the same holds for two of their best players, Tony Romo and Dez Bryant.
This could be a huge problem and the Cowboys are aware of it. The Dallas Morning News caught up with executive vice president Stephen Jones at the scouting combine on Tuesday.
Jones expects Bryant for most of the team’s off-season program, which begins in April. It’s still unclear if Romo will have surgery on the collarbone he broke twice in 2015.

The recovery time from either surgery is 6-8 weeks, putting him back for organized team activities in May.
