As they say in the streets, Sanders got screwed! “The Democratic Convention is about electing a president and vice president”.

After resigning under pressure as Democratic National Committee chairwoman and being booed and jeered by protesters at a delegate breakfast from her home state of Florida, Debbie Wasserman Schultz conceded today that it’s been “a hard week”.

Supporters of Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt, march during a protest in downtown on Sunday, July 24, in Philadelphia. Wasserman Schultz was given the role of DNC chair in exchange for Mrs. Clinton’s enthusiastic excitement for then-Sen.

The demonstrations, largely driven by Sanders supporters, have been peaceful, so far.

Fealk said he viewed the emergence of hacked DNC emails, which suggested favoritism of Clinton, as a revelation and evidence of the party’s disrespect for progressives.

The NJDC crowd greeted her with cheers, and she sounded defiant and struck a Jewish note in addressing the email scandal. “It was a big mistake because he is the exact opposite of what all of the Bernie people want”, Trump said.

“In this election, we can not sit back and hope that everything works for the best”, Michelle Obama said. Sanders’ own much-praised speech to the convention and his announcing the votes of Vermont that officially delivered the nomination to Clinton major factors in getting the bulk of his followers to board the “Clinton express”.

But if Sanders’ supporters believe, as he believes, that a Trump presidency represents a true threat to our nation’s rule of law, civil liberties and security, they will do just that. “We need leadership which brings our people together and makes us stronger – not leadership which insults Latinos, Muslims, women, African-Americans, and veterans – and divides us up”.

“I was in the neighborhood I grew up in, and there’s a fair number of Trump signs in that neighborhood”, DiNapoli said.
