Although the Cambridge Lovers Knot was given to Diana on her wedding day, she chose to wear her own family’s heirloom, the Spencer Tiara, for the ceremony at St Paul’s Cathedral.

Originally commissioned by Queen Mary around 1913, the tiara features 19 drop-shaped pearls that hang from diamond arches topped with diamond bows.

But it was her decision to wear Diana’s favourite tiara that took the breath away from seasoned royal watchers.

William’s mother Diana, Princess of Wales received this paticular tiara as a wedding gift from the Queen in 1981. She looked more than happy bearing on her head the weight of one of the most famous royal tiaras last night.

The Duchess of Cornwall missed the glittering Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace after suffering from neck and shoulder pain, Clarence House has said.

Now finally, a duchess of Cambridge is wearing an eponymous tiara.

Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, dons Diana’s favorite tiara for the first time.

As if she needed another perk to being a princess.

It’s not a secret that the Duchess Kate is a bad public speaker and Prince William is desperate to correct the situation. Kate wore her hair in an up swept style with diamond chandelier drop earrings and an ice blue frock believed to be a dress designed by Alexander McQueen and one previously worn by the Duchess.

Parent Herald previously reported that Kate and her mom Carole Middleton are planning for another commoner Christmas.
