The Duffer Brothers talk Stranger Things season 2
Given Stranger Things’ popularity, it should come as no surprise that it’s now been officially renewed for a second season.

In an interview with EW following the announcement, the brothers also confirmed that, while characters from season one will return, new characters will be introduced and new towns will be explored. So happy for my fellow cast! As much as we love Netflix series, they’ve been kind of hit-and-miss with their second seasons.
These titles leave us wondering what unusual occurrences will happen next, although we can probably expect to see how Will is coping now that he has returned from the Upside Down.
No casting updates for next season have been announced. Check out the teaser below to see the episode titles for Season 2. Despite Brown’s protestations, Schnapp lets it slip that his character will be involved in Season 2. Not only did we get confirmation of renewal from the streaming service, but we also got a new trailer. Not only that, but the creators of the show, brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, gave a few extra spoilers.
The Duffer Brother have previously stated that they do want to explore more about the Upside Down, and with so little of this world featured in season 1, the directions in which they can take this are endless.
We’re stoked to see this awesome series return for a second season. “But for us, there’s still more story here [in the 1980s], there’s still things that are unresolved”. He said, the opening scene does not take place in Hawkins.
Added Ross Duffer, “We’ve opened up this doorway, and to us it’s exciting to talk about, like, what else is behind there?”

Speculators have wondered whether Stranger Things would follow in American Horror Story’s path and be an anthology series, something the duo never considered.
