The eight-year-old fighting an extremely rare form of breast cancer
A fearless eight-year-old girl from Centerville, Utah has been diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer, becoming the youngest person ever to receive such a diagnosis, The Guardian reported.

Chrissy Turner recently told her parents about a lump she noticed on her chest.
Secretory carcinoma accounts for only 0.15 percent of all breast cancers, and Chrissy’s doctor expressed confidence the disease can be managed.
After her diagnosis, Chrissy’s mum, Annette said: “Only one in one million are diagnosed and she is the youngest that they’ve run across having this particular type of breast cancer”. She said, “It’s a struggle every day worrying about my family, about my husband and now my baby girl”.
Chrissy’s family is no stranger to serious illness- both of her parents are cancer survivors. She, a personal trainer and holistic life coach, suffered from cervical cancer and Troy, a Desert Storm veteran who works at Hill Air Force Base, is now fighting a Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma relapse -which first appeared when Chrissy was a baby. She will undergo a mastectomy in early December.
“I was scared to figure out what it was”, she said.
In the meantime, friends of the family have started a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money for medical bills while the Turners vow to stay strong for their daughter.
“No child should have to go through cancer”, Annette said.
Ms Turner says Chrissy’s subsequent diagnosis left her in shock.
“She was our therapy when he was going through chemotherapy”, Annette Turner said.
Melissa Papaj, who created the GoFundMe page for the Turners, wrote: ‘Let’s help the Turner family as much as we possibly can, I would love to see this grow huge for them so the least of their worries is the financial burden this devastating disease is causing!’
An eight-year-old girl ffound a lump in her chest, which turned out to be a rare form of breast cancer called secretory carcinoma.
“All the while, medical bills are continuing to pile up, forcing them to file bankruptcy in July 2013, but even after bankruptcy, bills continue to flow”.
