It feels like the original Gilmore Girls until Rory whips out her smart phone to look up the smelly flower (classic Rory).
Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life will debut via Netflix on November 25.
Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino did not rule out the possibility of more episodes to come, but said for the moment, “this is what it is”.
The trailer also shows familiar Stars Hollow locales such as Luke’s Diner, the Dragonfly Inn and Dosie’s Market, and ends with a snippet of the show’s familiar theme song.

The trailer wasted no time showcasing exactly how the writers will bring Lorelai and Rory into the present, with plenty of jokes about current events and celebs in the classic Gilmore fashion. The footage shows Lorelai sitting in a town’s gazebo sipping coffee as Rory approaches from the background. And for fans who have been wishing for the show to return, this will be something short, sweet and special.

The actress also admitted that she was surprised at the amount of interest in Rory’s love life. “We started having conversations in earnest I would say like two years ago, and then it was slowly happening, maybe a year ago…everything just fell into place”.
