So why the case of the sads?

Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) have been through a lot.

The Flash was one of the big US TV hits of 2014 – scoring super-ratings and strong reviews. On the show, Sears’ Garrick is a little older and wiser than Barry, and will act as a mentor to him. The heartbreaking repercussions of the Central City singularity will cause Barry to shut out those he loves the most. Barry is devastated that he couldn’t save Ronnie.

When asked if fans will see a doppelganger of Barry (Grant Gustin), Kreisberg said, “I don’t want to say who we see doppelgangers of, because I don’t want to give away surprises”. But “Flash” fans have to wonder whether this is the event that could lead her down a dark path toward becoming a Flash rogue. The premiere episode titled, The Man Who Saved Central City, will find Barry Allen struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death and trying to save the city all by himself. It is just a matter of seeing how quickly Barry realizes it.

“Season 2 begins with Barry deciding to protect Central City on his own”. What is “The Flash’s” take on him?

That, however, makes things worse.

Season 2 promises to deliver another non-stop thrill ride of meta-human adventures and perhaps a new love interest looming on the horizon for Barry. By then the team had discovered via Cisco’s lost alt world murder memories that Wells was really the Reverse-Flash, and that he’s gotten his speed powers back.

In these battles there were a few truly memorable moments, like when Barry and his friends had to face a telepathic gorilla named Grodd left over from an experiment at STAR by the U.S. government.

Unfortunately, someone out there besides the Reverse Flash is not feeling very forgiving and will not let Barry wallow in his solitude any more – enter the Atom Smasher (Adam Copeland). The first order of business: Exploring Earth-Two. Wells is about to kill Barry and win the day when Eddie arrives and becomes the hero.

How do Atom Smasher’s powers make him a good match for a speedster? Reluctantly. And that’s where this episode turns up the action.

In the comics, Atom Smasher is a valued member of Infinity Inc. and the Justice Society of America. Thankfully for them, as the debut approaches, more and more details about the show’s return have surfaced and by all accounts, “The Flash” season 2 is going to be as exciting as the the pilot run. Having pursued what amounted to an “It takes a village” mentality – with a whole lot of people helping him and in on his secret – he’s newly determined to go it alone, hoping to spare those close to him from being put in harm’s way.
