The Force Awakens with virtual reality app

“No one really knows how audiences are going to experience virtual reality” says Lynwen Brennan, Lucasfilm General Manager, “but I do know that we have the most expansive universe to explore in Star Wars”.

Hamill also admitted that he wasn’t sure about returning to Star Wars after all these years, saying that he initially hoped Harrison Ford would refuse to sign on as cover.

The spin-off focuses on how the younger Han Solo became the smuggler, thief and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley. “It’s got great production values”.

While it’s not exactly loaded with new reveals, any Star Wars fan would be doing themselves a favor reading the new Rolling Stone article “Star Wars Strikes Back: Behind the Scenes of the Biggest Movie of the Year”.

Ford refused to answer questions about his character Han Solo’s love life, or details about the film’s plot. “My mind is blown because he’s so brilliant, and he says, ‘Hey, if you need music for the cantina, I’ll write it'”.

“I came out [of the film screening] and I’m like, “Yeah, I’m cool, ‘ and then I got in the auto and I was like ‘Wahhhh” the whole way”.

The Star Wars versions are made and function just like the standard Google Cardboard models, except they’re created to resemble four character from The Force Awakens movie. John Boyega will play Finn, a stormtrooper who reportedly defects early on in the film. Already you can see exciting new worlds, great new villains and whoop-worthy heroes both new and old.

“Full of action, full of passion, and it’s quite emotional”.

As we noted last week, the headsets are launching alongside a VR-based teaser for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which is being released in snippets right up until the film’s premiere on December 18th.
