The Ford Fiesta ST200 Is Our Favourite Hot Hatch With Added Poke
The Ford Fiesta ST200 arrives at Geneva as a new range-topping ST, with 197bhp and a comprehensive makeover, technically and cosmetically.

However, the regular version of this generation Fiesta ST was acclaimed by reviewers for excellent overall performance when compared to more powerful cars, so this new version will bring a challenge to the table when it comes to this segment.
This makes it the most powerful Fiesta production vehicle ever made, and also the quickest.
Powered by the same 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine as the regular ST, the ST200 wrings an extra 10 per cent more power and 20 per cent more torque from the turbocharged four-pot. Peak torque meanwhile registers at 214 pound-feet normally and as much as 236 lb-ft with overboost.
Lastly, some bespoke revisions have been made to the design, with matt black alloy wheels, a unique Storm Grey paint option, and exclusive trimmings for the interior added in. On the inside, there’s a pair of unique part leather Recaro front seats, illuminated kick plates and seatbelts with pretty silver detailing.
We’ve contacted Ford Australia to see if the new Fiesta ST200 will be sold here. The front steering knuckle has also been modified, as has the rear twist-beam to increase roll-stiffness.
A sharper steering ratio and shortened steering arm, plus enhanced brake system with a larger tandem brake master cylinder and larger rear disc brakes complete the picture.
Contrary to expectations, Ford chose not to use their “RS” designation for this version of the Fiesta.

The Fiesta ST200 will go into production in June and the first European deliveries are slated to occur shortly thereafter.
