A24 picked up distribution for the film in 2016, “Free Fire” was directed by Ben Wheatley.
Aaccording to Variety, “centers around an arms deal that goes spectacularly and explosively wrong”.
Free Fire will hit theaters in 2017.
Consider us sold. Free Fire hits United Kingdom cinemas on 31 March 2017, but you’ll be able to catch it before then at the London Film Festival next month if you can’t wait until next year. The studio teases, “But when shots are fired during the handover, complete pandemonium ensues, with everyone at the scene suddenly thrust into a heart-stopping game of survival”. That’s the overarching thesis of Ben Wheatley’s upcoming film, Free Fire, and it looks like a insane, self-contained thrill ride.

Featuring Brie Larson, Armie Hammer, Sharlto Copley, and Cillian Murphy, it’s a bullet-soaked, moustachioed riot of a trailer that’s also quite sweary, so it’s probably not safe for work speakers.
