The Golden Globes Confused Previous Winners America Ferrera and Gina Rodriguez
Wow, now this is not good.

The rest of the world knows that, of course, but the Golden Globes’ official Twitter account apparently does not. But whoever was manning the Golden Globes Twitter account confused America Ferrera for Gina Rodriguez – not once, but twice.
America Ferrera (left) and Gina Rodriguez are not the same person.
The tweet has now been updated with America’s handle but this is what the first tweet originally read:”The @GoldenGlobes noms are about to start! @HereIsGina @ChloeGMoretz @ImAngelaBasset #DenisQuaid #Golden Globes”.
The Golden Globe Awards nominations announcement may not have seemed full of buzzy moments, but those on Twitter seem to have caught something to set tongues wagging.
The tweet was taken down nearly immediately but not before some eagle-eyed fans noticed the error and pointed it out.
Surprisingly, the Twitter account has yet to issue an apology and they simply updated the tweets. Ironically enough, Rodriguez’s split from her boyfriend of one year Henri Esteve came just seven months after she won best actress in a comedy series.
Ferrera, although not nominated this year, has a Golden Globe win on her resume as well.
