‘The Hunger Games’ actress spoofs Trump’s convention entrance
The actress used her appearance as a means to mock Trump’s entrance at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland last week when he took the stage to introduce his wife, Melania Trump. “I confirmed it just now”, the director said.

Sauntering out to Queen’s “We Are the Champions” amid a fog machine, she told the crowd after impersonating the GOP nominee’s RNC entrance: “I don’t usually say this about Donald Trump, but that was over the top”. Actress Elizabeth Banks looks over the podium area during a sound check before the start of the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Elizabeth Banks made the Democratic National Convention her own personal audition for Jimmy Fallon’s gig.
“So when I tuned into Cleveland last week, I was like, “Hey, that’s my act”, she added”.
Today, Banks stands in full support of Clinton, but it’s obvious that Effie might have been more of a Trump gal-birds of a feather, those two.
Banks credited the past contributions by Democrats for helping her attend University of Pennsylvania.
But she wasn’t done with the former Apprentice star just yet. “I don’t feel good about it”.

Though Banks has starred in a litany of film and television projects, her colorful role as Effie Trinket in the Hunger Games franchise was the inspiration for the night’s best joke. She went to work advocating for children and families.
