The Internet is going nuts over Adele’s flip phone

Adele’s “Hello”, her first new single in years, debuted to positive reviews from fans and music critics alike last week. They’re elements that you identify to our reality so much that – whether it’s a short film, a film, a music video – they just hurt the piece’s sensibility and reality, and it’s not as romantic.

“After doing my music video, I’m sure I’ll get a few flak for this, but I actually would like to act after working with Xavier Dolan who is truly, truly fantastic and his films are incredible”, she tells KISS FM.

The video’s director explains why Adele used a flip phone in her latest music video for “Hello”.

The hype got so intense the video was clocking up a million views an hour (it’s now had more than 65 million views).

So, what’s with the flip phone? What are your thoughts on the Adele flip phone news? It all stems from the video’s director, Xavier Dolan. Adele’s new video shows her fixing tea while reminiscing about her ex while singing, “So hello from the other side. I’m realizing maybe I’ve been more distracting than anything else with that flip phone, but it wasn’t intentional!”

She continued: “He makes me be a d******d, and he makes me feel young and there’s nothing more grounding than a kid kicking off and refusing to do what you’re asking of them”.

Flip phones or not, the video is already breaking records after going live less than a full week after it’s release!

He continued: ‘If you see an iPhone or a Toyota in a movie, they’re anti-narrative, they take you out of the story. Yet, there is one question everyone seems to be wondering- what is with that retro flip phone?!

‘It says she is stranded in nature, which has regained its rights, ‘ he said.
